LANDSCAPES USA: INCREDIBLE DIVERSITY ACROSS THE UNITED STATES

LANDSCAPES USA: INCREDIBLE DIVERSITY ACROSS THE UNITED STATES
LANDSCAPES USA(Valley of Fire State Park)

The United States is the fourth biggest U.S. withinside the international community after Russia, Canada and China. Its area extends over 9,834,000 km² and covers no less than six time zones including Hawaii and Alaska.
The landscapes of the USA are divided as follows:

EAST COAST

The East Coast is rightly considered the historic cradle of the USA.

Bordered by the Atlantic Ocean, it offers a contrasting landscape between sea and forest. From Canada to Florida, the East Coast unrolls its coastline which is sometimes rather wild with its pretty solitary beaches of South Carolina, punctuated with lighthouses or sometimes crowded near large cities or amusement parks.

The city of New York is in itself one of the most popular destinations for tourists, its excessiveness astonishes and the height of its skyscrapers makes you dizzy.

New England will charm you with its typical small villages and the ever-changing forest with the seasons offers pleasant walks in unique color palettes.

The Appalachian mountain is also present there to take a little height. This chain of verdant mountains forms the transition between the Northern Great Lakes and the Atlantic Ocean, with its bluish horizons and welcoming valleys.

LANDSCAPES USA

At the Canadian border, the famous Great Lakes (Superior, Huron, Michigan, Ontario and Erie) form a coherent set of stretches of water as far as the eye can see, a bucolic refuge for a whole range of wildlife to discover. Then going up to the North you will come across the inevitable and splendid Niagara Falls.

SOUTHERN UNITED STATES

The South East of the United States is made up (among others) of Florida and Louisiana.

Florida was once a thankless place filled with swamps and infested with mosquitoes. Thanks to the development work, this state is today a very popular destination for travelers and cities have sprouted there like mushrooms.

Miami and its long white sand beaches or the Keys archipelago are an enchanting change of scenery. The Everglades region in Florida is grouped around a National Park of more than 6000 km², it is a place where fauna and flora still reign supreme.

Louisiana and New Orleans are the states of the sugar cane plantations, it is a region of bayous and vast prairies. It is a peaceful green region where the water of the rivers merges with a rather rich and pleasant nature. The old colonial residences add to the charm of this indolent nature.

Continuing your journey west, we will radically change the landscape.

These are the states of Texas and New Mexico. It is a more arid and more desert landscape that is offered to visitors. The landscape can be as mountainous or hollowed out by the Rio Grande. These two states offer superb viewpoints such as the white dune desert of White Sands.

Continuing towards Arizona, Utah or Nevada, we come across sand and cacti on endless straight roads. This territory is a great spectacle with its breathtaking canyons where nature appears in all its majesty. It is difficult not to be marked by these rocky concretions, these vertiginous points of view and these ocher or red colors.

THE WEST COAST

These are the states to the west of the USA that border the Pacific Ocean from California in the south to Washington State in the north.

California remains a key destination during a trip to the USA. The far south of California is quite desert with cactus forests. Then the coast around Los Angeles is enormously built up, while the East is marked by the Sierra Nevada mountain range which offers very pretty canyons.

Further north, Oregon is a state made up of magnificent coniferous forests and snow-capped mountains. This vast forest territory has more than 6,000 lakes. The Cascades chain with its high plateaus and gigantic lava flows is quite impressive.

Our journey could not cover the whole of the American territory, so vast and varied is it. It is of course full of other discoveries and each state is a journey in itself through America.

But what is particularly striking in the United States are the immensity of the landscapes, this "larger than life" side, oversized and the richness of its natural heritage. Many national parks take care of these treasures and this richness and make it possible to discover rare and breathtaking landscapes through developed and environmentally friendly trails. And we would still have to talk about lands more remote from the rest of the country and which again offer a total change of scenery such as the island of Hawaii with its exotic charm or Alaska and its glacial expanses. The USA is a continent unto itself.
